Join the FL Humanities Council

Join the Florida Humanities Council's mailing list to find out about upcoming public programs, cultural tours and seminars for teachers, plus information about grant programs for non-profit organizations. The council is located in St. Petersburg, FL and recently present a lecture by Mallory McCane O'Connor at Art Center Manatee in Bradenton. Her topic was "Sunshine Muse - Watercolor Painting in Florida: A Brief History." It was well done and made me appreciate even more the glorious area in which I live. She noted that an abstract painter she knew as hard edged using dark colors is now painting lively colored landscapes now that he has moved to Florida.
